Model Images

The Images of models, dioramas and vignettes that you see on these pages are the work of my good friend Danumurthi Mahendra or Monty for short, unless otherwise noted. Monty is an amateur photographer, who sometimes I ask for help in documenting my model artworks. All of the images that was taken during the early stages of the website was taken with a Nikon F70 SLR AF camera. Backdrops and base plates for the vignettes are all things commonly found around the house, while the lighting is very much the use of the morning sunlight. He uses Kodak 35mm slide negatives to catch all the brilliant colors and finally scan them using a HP Scanjet 8400 scanner. Today though, Both Monty and I have moved on to digital. This makes documenting our work much easier.

Reference Photos

These photographs are the works of many of my friends and even myself --from time to time. most of these shots are about images of Indonesian's Armed Forces -- or TNI for short -- let that be army, navy, airforce and marines. Some of these images are taken from our TNI museums but some are taken from active divisions! Each image is the property of it's respectful owner and I merely have these on my site after asking them their kind permission.

The Admin

The administrator to this site is Farid. He's the guy who takes care of the payments and bills for the website and handles the email--including replying them! Farid works for a national news-magazine agency and he is also a modeler focusing in modern armor.

On Assignment

From L-R: Farid, Monty, Ade. This is what the 'studio' looks like when we're photographing Ade's works. Since we all have our day job, the hardest part is getting everyone agreeing with the appoinment and rendezvous point. And that's mostly done by SMS--if not through the e-mail. Here, we're at Plaza Senayan and using the concrete fence as support for the blue backdrop.
